Shore Excursions in Nassau

Hi,
Looking for ideas of things to do in Nassau. My first visit.

There is quite a bit of shopping right near the pier. My husband and I just walked around the shops for a bit and then took a cab to Atlantis.
Atlantis is absolutely unbelievable. Check it out if you can. There are organized tours for this as well, but it was much cheaper just to do it on our own.
A cab will cost you about $15.
We really loved Nassau and plan on going back. The people were extremely friendly and easy going.

We booked a private tour with Stuart Cove's in Nassau. Well worth the money.

I just checked their web site and think the price has gone up--I think we paid $35 pp in Oct last year. 3 snorkel stops, swim with sharks...everyone really enjoyed the excursion.
P.S. If you book with them, keep an eye out for the earring I lost at stop #1....lol

I thought the Alantis would not allow you to do anything there...heard they are really strict. Would love to go there and do the dig and see other things...is this possible. I have read on here that someone sells wrist bands and this allows you to do all the stuff is this true?

We walked around and did some shopping and then went over and walked through Atlantis. What a fabulous place! We spent some time on the beach by Atlantis. My husband and the older kids rented wave runners and had a great time doing that. We also did the dolphin swim. What a great experience. We were there two years ago and my kids are still talking about it and watching the video. It's pricey but well worth it.

My daughter in law went to Atlantic from a cruise ship in September. They got a day room for around $200 and spent the day using the Atlantis facilities. They had a great time.
