Default switching cruises?

hey, my son has changed his mind about the ship he would like to go on. We have already paid are 1st payment of 1000 for splendour of the seas, he would now rather go on mariner of the seas. how should i go about changing the cruise without losing my $$$

how far away is the cruise? If you have not made final payment, just cancel and rebook the cruise you want.

the cruise is in april.....but if i cancel will i get charged? do i get the 1000 back? even tho its for another Royal caribbean leavin the same day?

You are outside the penalty period - you will get your $1000 back.....it may take a few weeks (refunds always take longer than making a payment). The only thing I can think of is that your TA (if you used one) MIGHT charge you a cancellation fee........but that is rare.

You can at this point, cancel and then re-book, just call your travel agent and let us know how it all worked out.
