Was just reading up on X-Caret. Looked like a great place to hang out.. We've always enjoyed Chankanaab Park and thinking of doing x-Caret.
Can you do this on your own? The price through the ship seemed expensive.
If anyones done the dolphin swim there, how much is it?
We have been to Xcaret and really enjoyed it. However, we took the excursion through the ship. You can do this on your own but, it is quite a long distance from Cozumel and if there was a problem it could be difficult getting back on time. You have to take a boat from Cozumel to the peninsula then a bus to Xcaret. Be aware that the boat ride is a little rough. If you are prone to sea sickness, make sure you take something beforehand. It didn't bother us but, several people were quite ill.
THanks Lanie...IF we do it, it will be through the ship. We do all our excursions on our own, but with it being so far away, I don't think I want to take the chance. I may change my mind. Do you know how much the dolphin swim is?
Anyone done this excursion on their own and it was fine?
The park's web site states that the dolphin swim is $115.00 per person and the internet price is $104.00. We didn't do this particular activity when we were at the park, so I'm just going by the information on the web site.
We did the dolphin swim in Cozumel and absolutely loved it...best thing on the whole trip. I highly recommend it, but we haven't done it at XCaret. It was well worth the money though. We booked through dolphindiscovery.com.
