Default In room babysitting

We've only taken our kids on Disney's Magic and they didn't have this service. I thought I might try this on a couple of nights after the kids have done the evening activities with us or in the club and we had planned on staying out late. Can anyone tell me about this service? Also, I was thinking of using this when in St. Martin in the morning because that is where I like to shop for jewelry and the kids would be bored spending 1 or 2 hours jewelry shopping! Can the babysitter take them out of the room to go iceskating or play golf?

This is from Royal Carribean's website

"For childern at least one year of age, we also offer individual sitting in your stateroom from 8 a.m. until 2 a.m. Rates are generally between $8 and $10 USD an hour, depending on the number of children in your family. Payments must be made in cash.

We require 24 hours advance notice and the guests can confirm the service with Guest Relations upon boarding."

Thanks for responding but I already had that info. and was wondering about personal experiences. Also, if the babysitter can take them to an activity or do they have to stay in the room. My children will be 6 and almost 8 when we cruise in February, so they would be easy to take to an activity.
