Default Navigator or Jewel

I am looking at booking a cruise for February 06 and need help deciding on two choices. An 8 day Eastern Carr. cruise on the Jewel OS or a 7 day Eastern Carr. cruise on the Navigator OS. I can afford a balcony suite on the 7 day, but not on the 8 day cruise. Is giving up a balcony worth an extra day?

I have been on the Serenade OS which is the same as the Jewel, but haven't been on a ship like the Navigator.

Go witht he Navigator. I had a balcony on a 7 night Eastern Caribbean on the Navigator and loved it.

M & J,

Apart from the balcony question and since you have cruised the SR, I would suggest that you try the NV this time. Very different from the extrovert JW, the NV focuses on the Promenade plus things you donīt find on the Radiance class, like Studio B with the excellent ice shows.

Balconies aren't important to me personally, but it is a matter of personal taste. Comparing the ships, I would summarize it like this:
Navigator: More activites, more festive, many more children and families
Jewel: More elegant, more intimate, some say more beautiful

Besides that, they both are very nice ships. I prefer the Voyager-class ships for the promenade and ice shows.
