Another vote for Richard Spacey - he was the cruise director on Rhapsody of the Seas once, and we were lucky enough to be on board that cruise. He is great --- but I also really like the new CD on Rhapsody - Peter Benfield.

Do cruise directors stay on the same ship after their vacation? In response to pool games, out family enjoys it. When the badn breaks, for less than an hour, guests entertain with the guide by the cruise director and staff. It is very funny and entertaining... it breaks up the afternoon in the sun. If it gets annying, there are spots to sit away from the noise.

Does anyone know who is the CD on the Majesty?
I am shocked that so many of you remember names of these people. I've been on 6 cruises and couldn't tell you any of their names. I've even had drinks with one of them and WISH I knew his name. He was on the Majesty in Oct. of 2000 and was from Ohio (My home state).

We had Kirk last year on the Mariner and really enjoyed his energy. The Quest was so much fun.

Just got back from Navigator-April 2-9. Ken Rush was the CD and did an awesome job. He told us that he will be going to Freedom of the Seas when it opens.

I think James Andrews was the best CD we have ever had. Does anyone know what ship he is on now?

When did Gordon Whatman retire? We were on Radiance of the Seas in early Feb 05 and he was our director. He seemed to really enjoy his job.

I liked Jeff martin and Gordon Whattman did Alaska and The Explorer before. I had liked Kenn Rush before but since his Navogator debut he was realy bad. He just seemed to like to hear himself talk. Anyone know who is the CD on Jewel?

We enjoyed Kirk Detweiler, but our favorite is still Matt Baker. He is a very unique and entertaining guy indeed. Nice pic of him too, Sooshie. It really captures how my wife and I will remember him (until next time...of course).

The most entertaining was not the crusie director but the Captain announcements! We didn't know how to turn on announcements in our room so we opened the door and taped the Norweigian captain's long announcements! We giggled over each one and appreciated his information. We made a point of not missing him when he came on. This was an Alaska Cruise on Rhapsody.
