Default Green Grotto Cave in Ocho Rios

Has anyone taken the Green Grotto Cave Tour offered by RCI at the Ocho Rios, Jamaica port-of-call?

Specifically, is it worth the 45 minute drive there and back? I've been in Mammoth Cave, Kentucky, which was spectacular. My teenage kids haven't been in a "real cave" and am wondering if it might be something they would enjoy. Does the driver or tour guide make the ride there interesting?

The Cave tour is followed by Dunn's River Falls, which they climbed last cruise. I was looking for something new and different for the kids.

Thanks in advance for any comments.

I did the same research last year. My conclusion was that it wasn't worth it. When in Ochi I asked our tour leader about Green Grotto Cave. He didn't think much of it so I felt validated.

For your girls, there are several groups there that do horseback riding from the mountains to a beach, or a similar bike ride. If you're not doing Dunn's, I think this would be fun.

Thank you for your input. It's still under consideration as an excursion for the four of us.

My son is a HUGE James Bond fan and I read that several scenes from Live and Let Die were filmed at the Green Grotto.

My daughter enjoys hiking and we both would like horseback riding but probably not the guys.

Even though the falls are "touristy" they still are a spectacular sight.
