Default Need an answer fast

We are flying into Miami this weekend and staying in a hotel before saturday's sailing. I was wondering - We made our own plane reservations. Is there an American Airline bus waiting at the port or do we have to take a taxi back to the airport? Thanks

Hope this catches you in time! There's a SuperShuttle that takes you from airport to port and, I'm presuming, will also return you when you get back...this is what we're planning to do as is cheaper than taxi. go go www.supershuttle.com for info. Fiona

CAb fare from port of MIami to Miami Airport is $21 per cab - not per person. And it is not a bad ride.

LIsa--are you sure that's the cab fare. Even with a nice tip I think that'd be better than taking the bus from the cruiseline--we would have time to cancel. Miami cruiseport is a madhouse. Not a fan of supershuttle but it depends on the driver you get.

Yes, I am sure. Got of the Majesty on 11/8 - got my luggage and through customs and walked right up to the taxis and was told right off $21 to the airport per cab. I tipped $5. There were 3 other ships in port with us that AM and I had no problem getting a cab.

That's what I was wondering, if there were enough cabs to go around after the ship disembarks. It must be a madhouse. Are the "cabs" only big enough for 3 people or more? Thanks

I took a cab there and back.......worked out just fine. Rather do that then wait for a bus to get filled.

How did the cabs handle the extra luggage we seem to bring on cruises?

We always use the taxis. There are plenty of them there and if you use a proter for your bags, he'll get ypou to taxi very quickly. Worth the tip as far as I'm concerned. As far as luggage, it depends on how many people & how many pieces of luggages. Again, a porter can lead you to a van if one is needed.
