This is our second cruise on RCCL and curious to know what is in the discount booklet you receive from Crown and Anchor membership. Also when is the wine tasing? Any other perks or is that after 10 cruises!!!
We got coupons for the casino, wine tasting, a free picture of the ship when we bought other pictures, a discount in the gift shop, and a few others I can't really remember. Didn't seem like too much of a savings to me. Most of them were things we weren't interested in. It was our second cruise too.
They do get a bit better by the time you reach "Diamond" level (ten cruise credits). Twenty minutes internet free, three $5 match play coupons plus a few $ for the slots, 10% off "RCI" logo merchandise and 10% off perfume purchase, free photo (any size) are the ones I recall.
The Gold booklet (first level) includes a 2-fer-1 drink coupon, $12 for $10 in the casino, the aforementioned free ship photo and I seem to recall a 2-fer-1 for the wine tasting (which is done on a sea day).
Also, you get some merchandise. First time I got a fanny pack. This last time (cruise #5) I got a cool toiltrie bag hanger that works great.

Good question, that's what I wanted to know.....when do you get them.....if second time cruiser are they in your cabin when you get there.......or do you get them after you get home for 2nd time cruiser.....or do you get them in the mail with docs before you go?
I'm a platinum member and had asked about "free" upgrades when we boarded in September 04. The agent looked at me like I had 3 heads and said no...ship is full. Now that I'm going on a repositioning cruise I tought I would ask in advance and crown and anchor said this is NOT a benefit of being a royal loyal member! I guess I'll switch to Norweigen and see if the perks are better.
It's a scam...Crown and Anchor/Captins club are now one in the same. You get next to nothin for sailing with them 10+ cruises. Dont let them sway you decision this is truly not a benefit. You can use their robes! Give me a brake. Upgrades are not done on this line. Check with other lines for price and benefits before you get roped in.
Don't know where it got started that "RCI" might upgrade any of us for being "C&A" members but I am almost to "Diamond Plus" without it happening. BUT I also don't understand all the negativity regarding the perks. I AM going to cruise with "RCI" so they can throw the dog a bone anytime. I appreciate the the quick check-in and dismembarkation lounge along with the coupon books. I did have bad experience with "RCI" when they overcharged a cruise by $50 and then ignored me, which I did post on the gripe board. Result HUGE discount and double upgrade to a suite on next two cruises. Works for me, Robbie
On our Navigator cruise last Oct which was my 19th cruise we had the Coupon books that first night and the Crown and Nachor gift was brought on the last afternoon at sea. We had Toliet bags and they year before were fanny packs. We get a diamond free drinks, free picture like the boarding picture, casino match play, discount in the logo shop, and prefume shop and free bingo cards but not jack pot cards. I was wondering waht the free gift is now.
Yea the free gift is a paper napkin with RCCL logo WOW!! Good for you Robbie stand your ground and keep after them and they will come through. As competitive as this business is I think we should be getting a bigger bone for being so royal/loyal. Thats all.
There's an excellent description of C&A benefits, by level, on the www.rccl.com website under crown and anchor. Celebrity has the same information as do other lines. I would imagine NCL has the same thing. Generally I have found that RCCL stays a little bit ahead in benefits for repeaters, atleast in the mass market.
There are no boarding privileges for Gold membership. Diamond + has the chance of a free upgrade...normally all others have to pay. Several years ago, RCCL used to upgrade for free fairly often, but when cruise prices dropped, they started charging for upgrades at the pier.
Remember to please leave the unused coupon books in the safe your last morning of the cruise so the next guest can enjoy these. Thank you to the Crown and Anchor member who did this for us on the Soveriegn in December.
