Does anyone have any information on the Fredom of the Seas? I recieved information that advance reservations will be available for Crown & Anchor members begining February 28, 2005. I called to get information on the itinerary, and port of departure but RCI would not release any info.
I did get an email this afternoon from RCCI which had a link to their webside. It reads in part as follows:
"Freedom of the Seas will be sailing year-round, 7-night Western Caribbean itineraries from Miami. Ports of call will include Cozumel, Mexico; George Town, Grand Cayman; Montego Bay, Jamaica; and Labadee®, Hispaniola. So basically, we'll be ready to set sail to tropical paradise whenever you need a vacation.
New photos and details are on the way! Check back soon for more on Freedom of the Seas' astounding features. Deck plans will be revealed on royalcaribbean.com in late March."
So we've got the itinerary, looks like we've got a little bit of a wait for the deck plans though.
The World's Most Spectacular Cruise Ship, Launching in May 2006
Construction has now begun on a remarkable ship that will offer our guests even more options and vacation freedom.
Royal Caribbean International has always provided guests with innovative, adventurous onboard activities. And yes, Freedom of the Seas will have an ice-skating rink, rock-climbing wall and Royal Promenade. But we also think it's time to take ship features to the next level (and beyond). While we're not quite ready to reveal all that's in store for Freedom of the Seas, there's one thing you can be sure of: it will be awesome.

Here are just a few teasers of what's in store for Freedom of the Seas. Check back for updates!
Extensive WiFi capabilities and connectivity for cell phones. Because when you're on vacation it's great fun to let the folks at home know what they're missing.
Staterooms and balconies that are among the largest in the industry. Plenty of room to relax and plan your adventures.
A full-size, flat-screen TV in every stateroom. But then again, with all the incredible vacation activities to explore, try not to be too disappointed if you have trouble finding time to turn it on.

For Crown and Anchor members RCL need to bring something to the table. They, RCL expects us to talk up this new ship and act as ambassadors to other cruisers and they will give us $2 for the casino, use a robe and a coupon for a buy one get one drink. Big deal! Where are the FREE UPGRADES? My lips are sealed and I wont give kudos till they give me something back. Hey I paid for this cruise...not like I got anything for free!!
Apparently RCI has a product thats popular enough that they don't have to give free upgrades. I've been on 8 RCI cruises and have never gotten an upgrade. Perhaps if i chose to cruise on another cruiseline I might be affored upgrades. I choose not to. I love RCI's product, I have never left a RCI cruise without having a great expierience. I'll take my cheesy coupons and use them and be happy with them. As always I will recommend RCI to anyone who askes me because of the product they deliver.
Royal Caribbean’s loyalty members get first taste of Freedom
MIAMI -- Royal Caribbean International’s Freedom of the Seas will sail to Cozumel, Mexico; Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands; Montego Bay, Jamaica; and Labadee, the line’s private beach in Haiti, from its Miami base.
The ship, which will be the largest in the industry when it debuts in 2006, will sail year-round, seven-day itineraries.
Bookings open Feb. 28 to members of Royal Caribbean’s Crown and Anchor loyalty programs, which represents a two-week jump-start before reservations open to the general public.
we were able to get through. I know we do not know much but I am sure that it will not be undesireable. We are very excited. The sad part is it is over a 1 year wait.
