Going on a 5 day cruise on the Majesty and wanted to know if anyone has info. or has experienced any type of shoreline fishing in Nassau or Key West.
I am familiar with the shore excursions and the charter fishing trips that RCCL offers, but am not so keen on spending half the day or all day on the ocean to "catch-and-release" when I can be fishing closer to the shoreline where we are moored or somewhere nearby. Can/should we bring our own fishing gear or do I have to have book a charter of some sort? Can we fry our own fish when on land? Is there somewhere to cook the fish we catch? What's the rules? Will it look real stupid to bring my fishing pole and gear?
I spent 5 days in Key West last summer and would suggest that you get off of the ship and head to your left. When you get to the marina you will find a ton of fishing boats - all with signs on them for charters that day. You can usually dictate where and how long. No need to bring your own equipment - everything is provided.
