Default promenade staterooms

Does anyone know anything about the promenade rooms ? Are they quiet, noisy, We booked a room on the Adventure of the sea 9/18/2005. Always had a oceanview room but, we can't seem to find one where we would like it to be on the second deck all booked for those rooms. Help.

We had a promenade room once and loved it. It was very quiet -- we didn't even hear the parade the 1st time, but once we discoverd they had them it was a blast to watch from up above. We have since moved to balcony because my spouse dives and there is room for stuff to dry. Considered a promenade last year when my brother & family went, but they book up really fast. Remember that if the sheer curtains are not closed, people can see movement near the windows from the promendade! Have fun!

Approximately the same size, but it had a small window seat overlooking the promenade so it seemed a bit larger.

We just got off the Navigator and had a Promenade stateroom. It was a bit larger than the inside cabin. We could faintly hear music playing one night when a band was playing in the Promenade area but the music stopped by 11pm. Other than that we didn't hear anything.

We had a promenade stateroom last year on Explorer of the Seas...we loved it!
I love to people watch so it's fun AND you get light from it which is much different that the cave feeling of an inside cabin.

We have a balcony this year, but I would go back to promenade at any time!

Thanks everyone for the come back. It sounds like I won't be disappointed in the room.
