Default Boston to Nova Scotia Cruise question

We are considering a cruise on the Enchantment of the Seas leaving out of Boston going to Martha's Vineyard and on to Nova Scotia. Can someone tell me if the water is usually rough or calm. We have a problem with sea sickness. Thanks.

We are considering this same trip. Last Sept we took a trip from NYC to Newport & on to Nova Scotia--not rough at all. Worst area was at the place where the ST lawarence met the ocecan off Quebec--very big seas there! GUess it depends on when you go & how lucky you are. We were happily surprised at the smooth trip.

One of the reasons ships sail this itinerary in Sept. is that seas are "usually" calmer. However, that is never guaranteed. This is a mid-size ship and won't be sailing too far off of the coast. Early September can be beautiful in New England. For security, buy Sea Bands and ginger just in case. I live in New England, if you need any tour suggestions.
Bon Voyage

Any suggestions as to what to see at our port stops will be appreciated. Thanks for your response.

To NanaTravel: Since you live in New England, what are the "must see" things (or the best side trips) in Martha's Vineyard, Bar Harbor and Portland, Maine.
