Hey there you all,
Just wondering.... I've seen bad reveiws on the cruises from SanJuan. Something about the locals that board the cruise for cheaper price. Do any of you have any advice. My hubby and I want to do the southern trip this time, but are leary about the whole San Juan thing. Thanks for the info.
We did the Southern Caribbean last year on the Adventure and it was wonderful. We met some of the "locals" and they were very nice. The only downer was the airport. We did a tour of San Juan after we got off the ship, but still got to the airport a long time before our plane left. The airport is very small. There were a lot of people so we had no place to sit and wait for our flight.
Have cruised twice from SJ and had a great cruise. Yes, there are a lot of Puerto Ricans just as there are many locals when you cruise out of a port city. If you remember that they have their own culture & language & respect that, there won't be a problem.
