Has anyone ever stayed in one of the family staterooms with 6 people? I was wondering how crowded it was. It is hard to tell the exact layout, and whether there are pull down beds, whether there is room to walk if the sofa bed is pulled out. thanks
What ship are we talking about? Our friends are staying a Family Stateroom on the Radiance. The room is 371 sq ft, sleep 6, many different configurations because they are located in the front of the ship but there is no balcony. How are you charged for this room? Are the 4th - 6th person the lower rate? The Royal Family Suite does have a balcony and I think the first 4 ppl are full fare. Anyone know for sure?

We've found its less expensive to book two inside cabins right next to each other. It gives us a little more room and, more importantly, a second bathroom!

I have the Royal Family Stateroom booked for 5 adults in May on the Explorer and only the first two pay full fare. (Fare was just over $7000 US for the 5 ouf us including port/taxes)The room sleeps eight with 2 in one bedroom, 4 in the other bedroom (2 on the main bed and two bunks) and two on the pull out couch. Royal Caribbean will only rent these to people with a minimum of 5 people. I will have a review and pictures up by the end of May when we return.
