Default Portable coffee maker

So my last cruise I went on the coffee tasted like sludge. I found a travel coffee maker at Brookstones that I am going to bring with me along with my own coffee. Someone please tell me I'm not the only crazy one who has to have good coffee in the morning.

You're not the only one!

My husband makes me a great cup of vanilla nut coffee every morning and one after dinner. I can't start my day without it. As a matter of fact, as I'm typing this, he's brewing me a cup. His coffee is so good that I've become spoiled. When we travel, we always bring our own coffee. I truly thought that we were the only ones to do this. Glad we're not alone!

Coffee was disgusting on our last cruise, I wanted to buy one of those portable coffee makers and my husband thought I was nuts even though he found the coffee revolting also... but I think I'll go get one anyway. I felt like a drug addict because I couldn't get to a Dunkin Donuts fast enough when we got off the ship in Miami!

The coffee was horrible on MOS last week, even in the cafe. I switched to tea. I will always take a small pot with me on any future cruises. I heard so many people complaining about it that maybe they'll do something!

We have taken a small espresso machine with our own coffee for years. We also take along insulated mugs to bring our home-made coffee on deck.

We have found that the only decent coffee on board ships is the speciality coffee you order in the dining room, however some lines do charge extra for this.
