Los Angelas

My wife and I are flying into Los Angelas two days prior to our cruise in June. We would like to rent a car at the airport to drive around in and drop the car off just prior to boarding the cruise ship.

Can anyone suggest a company that would let us drop the car off at their San Pedro location? Also any recommendations for hotels close to the cruise terminal would be appreciated.

Neil, try posting on the Mexico board ... I think you will get a better idea ... I know of someone who just answered similar.

Hmmmm I wish I remembered the car rental company.. but there is one in a hotel very close to the pier... in fact we rented a car at the airport and were able to return it at the hotel but I really am not much help because I dont remember the name of either.. I think we stayed at a best western and the hotel for the drop off was like 2 blocks away.. it worked out well and the hotel has a free shuttle to the ship..
But last time we did the same trip we ended up having to return the car to a place across the bridge... and boy was that a hassle to get back I think we waited for almost 2 hours to get a taxi back to the ship
