Default buying liquor onboard

Can you still buy liquor onboard to take to your cabin. Last year on the Explorer you could do this by paying a fee - not per bottle but per purchase. We are on the Voyager 4/9 and just wondered.

Yes, you can still buy liquor onboard and take it to your cabin. The fee is $9.50 per bottle.Sometimes on the first night they may offer a deal ($9.50 per transaction); they did NOT offer this on our recent cruise. Didn't matter to us, it was nice to be able to take liqour back to your cabin. Some lines don't offer this option.

I wouldn't call it a fee. You just pay the normal price like at home. You don't get it duty free if you take it to your cabin. I always bring some tonic and lime and then buy a bottle of vodka for my cabin to make cocktails with. See picture.

In my suitcase. I was wearing swim suit, flips, tshirt when I boarded. I was the first at the bar and first in the pool. I can't believe all the people dressed in long pants (jeans) sitting around waiting for their luggage to change for the pool. Come dressed for the pool and get started!!

There is no size limitation on luggage unless you are flying and if this is case would take an additional bag for the essentials.I always pack a case of beer plus my vodka in my checked baggage and carry on 2 bottles of champagne one for sailing away party and one to have in the room while dressing for first formal nite.In addition will carry on wine sufficient to last until the first port where I restock until next port.No problem on bringing wine on at each port and on longer cruises will replennish the vodka in liter bottle of water and go right thru security.Did have wine confiscated on last Celebrity cruise at one port and the next one put in back pack.On the Millennium last yr I saw one man wheel in a case of champagne and case of beer and nothing was said on embarcation.Wen they start offering some decent priced wines I will forgot this mode of secrecy.
