Default BEST PLACE TO BE FOR "Bon Voyage"?

Okay, you guys are the experts...
where's the best place to be on the ship when we pull away? I always thought the pool area but I saw a picture of the promenade with confetti flying (?) . So now I'm curious and you all have been a wealth of information!!!!

So, what do you think?

On my aft facing balcony!

I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy, Robbie

Depends on what time your ship is leaving, from what port & what time of year it is.

For a warm weather day time departure -- the pool area.

For a warm weather evening departure -- highest deck outside bar.

Cold weather -- the lounge w/ the most windows.

The best place to be is on deck with a bottle of champagne.

just make sure you are not left behind on the dock when the ship is leaving (smile)...if it's your first cruise and you are in a romantic mood and you're lucky enough to have a balcony cabin facing the pier, I would be on the balcony with my loved one with a sail-a-way drink. If you are with a group of people, be on the deck where the steel band is playing that you can get space by the rail

Venice I agree with you, nothing beats the sound of a steel band playing, a foo-foo drink in your hand and your waving to all the poor saps that aren't lucky enough to be on the ship with you!

Best place to be for Bon Voyage is on the ship, with a drink in your hand and your wife on our arm.

Yay for you! That's awesome! Wherever you are as the ship leaves port.. you'll have a great time.

We made the wise decision of arriving at the pier early enough to have had a couple of frosty tropical beverages before the ship sailed.. wonderful, wonderful feeling.

Hey! I resemble that remark! The best place is on the top deck overlooking the pool area, the band, the poor people onshore waving goodbye and with a good buzz started. Since I arrive on the ship by noon, at 5 PM I am starting to get obnoxious already.

No, I generally don't drink when I am on these boards. I am planning my next drink though. I am usually at work when I am on here and I check it home too. I will be with my toes in the sand and a drink in my hand by 6 PM today. With the time change the sunset is almost 8PM now. I will be at Jimmy B's listening to the band and scoping girls.

See picture....
