Default is it O.K. to use party lights on balcony on Mariner

I found some really cool (and cheap) party lights in a catalog in the shape of tropical fish. Does anyone know if we can use these on our stateroom balcony on the Mariner.

youll need something to hang them up with, and a pretty long extension cord since the only outlet in the cabin is on the vanity. you might want a power strip as well since theres only 2 plug-ins. i didnt see anyone with them on our new years cruise, but saw some in the cabins. if you did put them outside, make sure theyre suited for outdoors since salt, spray, and the window washing might do some harm.

We cruised the Navigator in March. We had some neat lights with us along with two extension cords. We still couldn't reach the closest outlet. Not only that, there's no way to wrap them around the balcony. Oh well, one less thing to pack next time.

Wouldn't the lights bother your next door neighbors? I dont think I would want someone on either side of me with lights on.

We used party lights on our cruise last year on the Mariner. We had adjoining balcony cabins and found some hula girls and palm tree lights. We brought white masking tape to secure them and a power strip to plug them in. There was no mess at all and we kept them tidy. No one complained, in fact we got compliments on some of our neighbors wishing they had thought of doing that.
