Default Monarch - deck 9 cabin question

Am looking at a larger outside stateroom, deck 9, on the Monarch, because it will be a little larger room, but I notice it's also partial obstruction. A little light and view (for me) is better than none at all! The cabins available right now are at the aft end - two or three from the end. any thoughts?

Also, saw a pic someone posted and it looks like with the beds pushed together the bed is right up next to the window wall. would like to know if that's the case, because no one could get out of bed on that side.

Darcy, the beds are situated that way in the standard inside/outside cabins. Don't know in the larger category how they are set up.

Your obstructed view will probably be through the tender boats. No biggie, because you still have the light etc.

And did you see my answeer about the trolley?

Harry

Darcy,

I have been on deck nine on the Sovereign 3 times (soon 4). The cabins are bigger with a bathtub. The ones below on deck 8 are smaller and have the lifeboats in front of you. On deck nine you are above the lifeboats. Infact, next month I have 9582 which is ALL the way aft portside so the kids don't have far to go to the Adventure Ocean. I will let you know how it is. You can have the beds put anyway you want.

thanks for the input. and Harry - appreciate your info on San Diego. Having been there many times, will probably do as you suggest w/local trolley.

Darcy, we took the free shuttle from the pier to Horton Plaza, then caught the trolley at the station on Fifth. That way we hit a store at the shopping center, then headed out for sight-seeing. When returning to the pier, however, we disembarked the trolley at the train station and just walked the block to the ship.
