Hi all,We will be sailing on friday on the voyager of the seas.Just wondering how she is.And if they went into the casino and what table games they have.
We will be in cabin 9681,anyone near that cabin on their recent trip?
I just got back from a 5/20 sailing. Gorgeous ship and I have absolutely no complaints regarding food and service -- top notch all the way. Had a balcony stateroom and LOVED it!!!
My ports of call were Labadee, Ocho Rios, Grand Cayman and Freeport -- Grand Cayman was the best one, Freeport by far the worst, Why did they even bother????
My complaints? For one thing, Don't get sick! A trip to the ships doctor cost my parents $185 for a band aid -- and they didn't even discuss the billing; took the money right out of their SeaPass account. I think it's appalling they charge for medical services. Does any other cruise line do this??
Also (and I seem to be alone in this) I think Voyager is TOO big. I felt like I was in the middle of Grand Central Station at times. Lines everywhere, especially when leaving or returning to the ship from various ports of call. It was also very difficult to keep track of people -- everything looks alike and it's really easy to get lost in the crowd. I lost my husband 5 times!! I would like to try a smaller ship next time.
Everyone who uses the ships doctor pays. They don;t accept health insurance but you can home and submit to your carrier. I think this is common practice on all cruise ships. RCCL will give you seasick pills for nothing. Also if you are sick with Norwalk, I believe the Compass says that the treatment is complimentary. Next time you need a band aid, I suggest going to ships store not doctor.
