Does anyone know of a site that lists when RCCL ships are scheduled for refurbishment and what will be done (e.g. like the Enchantment lengthening)? I'm particularly interested in the Splendor and Legend, but would like to find a general purpose site that has information like this.
According to RCCL, Enchantment and its identical sister ship Grandeur of the Seas, are the two Vision class ships that would be the easiest to stretch from an enginering perspective. The Enchantment is currently undergoing the lengthening procedure and will start cruising again in July. Depending on the outcome of the Enchantment's stretch and passenger feedback, a decision will be made in the future on stretching the Grandeur or not. The crew aboard the Grandeur talks like the decision to lengthen it is already a done deal so we'll just have to wait and see what happens. Most likely dates for the Grandeur's stretch would be either Summer 2006 or Summer 2007.
Can't wait to enjoy Enchantment--it was one of our favorites & on our next trip it will be even better Hope they have not over glitzed it up--it had nice neutral blue/turquoise tones & a beatiful indoor pool area--more simple decor & cleaner lines that R class-with the African elehant stuff & fake foliage....Really looking forward to it. We will have one of the new JS cabins. And if the others strectch that will be a great sized ship for us!
