Drydock: A Cruise Ship Reborn
Just wanted to let everyone know that Sunday on TLC from 8 - 10 pm PST they are showing the Sovereign of the Seas.
"A cruise ship undergoes a complete refitting in three weeks with most of the work done in drydock in the Bahamas. First up: RCI Sovereign of the Seas salils to Port Everglades, where a huge deck extension is lifted onto the ship, then to Freeport for the rest of the work."
In the second hour: "18 days remain, and 23 pre-fabricated staterooms must be fitted through a hole in the side of the ship."
