Default Royal Monarch - Ensenada

Hi. going on the Monarch of the Seas next Monday. Anyone been to the folkloric exhibition they put on for the shore excursions? I think this is at the Rivera Pacifica. What is it like? Are they more authentic or more like a typical tourist attraction?

Thanks.

We're leaving today. Can't wait.

The folklorico show is authentic. The are enat to see if you have never seen one. Being raised in California, they are nothing new to me.

Feel free to post any other questions -- been on the Monarch two times before.

Harry

Thanks Harry.....

Hey, what are you doing here on the board? Go pack and get ready to go!

Hope you have a good time.

Since you have been on this ship before let me ask you about the pool. Are there allot of people all around the pool sitting out or is it kind of quiet? Are they speedo friendly, so to speak? I thought, if time allowed, I would sit out by the pool for a bit.

Thanks.

Harry: We will be on the Monarch in September...the short San Diego - Ensenada run.

Since this is a quick cruise... This is our first time with a window only...no veranda.

Are the cabins a nice size?

How is the service?

Any suggestions as to tours/land excursions?

Hi guys,

Just got back this morning so let me answer more later. I also wanted to let you know I will be penning an article for Cruisemates that should be on the home page soon.

To quickly answer your questions, the weather was great this weekend, so the pools were packed during our one sea day. Otherwise, it was pretty available. Saw one speedo.

Sandra the cabins are very tiny, but liveable for a 3-4 night cruise. Small amount of drawer space. But like I said, do-able on a short cruise. I took photos of our inside and will upload -- the outside will be the same size.

We had excellent service -- steward and waiter. A very happy ship.

Harry
