Room upgrade

I have an opportunity to upgrade to a junior suite.Is this type of cabin much bigger than a standard cabin with a balcony.I have to young children so it might be worth the money if there is much more room.

You should be looking at about 50% more usable room. We don't have kids so a "D" is fine for us but with kids, I would definitely go with the JS" (if the budget allows of course).
