Default How long can you stay on the ship......

When it is time to leave the ship at the end of your cruise, how long till they really boot you off??? I know the group will be coming on as early as we had the day we started, but what time do you think you could linger till and still get off without trouble????

I hope this makes sense???

It really doesn't make sense. The last day of the cruise is not exactly a good time. Its everyone herded together waiting for their color to be called to get off. I guess if you wanted to linger you could wait until the last color is called and then go. You get a list of colors and the order of departure.

Happy cruising!!!!!!!!!

The colors are matched to your luggage placement in the terminal so if you wait too long after it's been called, it's an easy target. We have had people try to leave the terminal with our lugggage even when we went down right when we were called. I am sure it was accidental but still an obstacle to be aware of, Robbie

Additionally, the last time we sailed, the Brilliance< everyone was instructed to vacate thier cabin by 8:00 am.. After that you had to be in a public area.

Another reason for wanting us out of our cabins.

The cabin crew is waiting to clean your former cabin...and the next bunch of passengers is waiting to get on the ship! They have very little time between cruises to clean up. They get really rushed..and thats when we notice some things not quite right...or missed.
I know how you feel...you hate to leave..but slotaddic and Robbie make very valid points.

On another topic, I read that RCI has made all the luggage tags one color now and they are pre-printed with your info on them. If that is the case, how do they do debarkation and isn't it harder to find your luggage now?

We loved the forward cabin that we had, and I really did not feel any more motion than our mid-ship cabin. Don't worry, you will love it.

You really don't want to stay longer on the morning of disembarkation because you can't stay in your room and everything closes for cleaning and restocking for the next group. That day is not much fun and I think while you are herded in the theater they could show something interesting to watch, it eas a long boring wait imho, Kristine

I sailed rcl on 5/7/05 and the luggage tags were still different colors. So they had not changed their policy up to that point.

Luggage tags are preprinted for embarkation but different ones are issued for disembarkation ()=;>)

The windjammer will be closed. There are only certain spots that you can hang out. You can only hear the colors being called from certain locations. However, we got tired hanging out in the theater, so we went out on the deck and hung around. At least there were lounge chairs. I know you want to stay, but the next group, wants to get on just as bad. Imagine trying to check in and being held up because the past cruisers won;t get off. You do have to vacate your room by 8 am. We'll I hope you have a wonderful cruise and the anticipation keeps building.
