We have just booked a back to back Eastern and Western Caribbean on the Navigator of the seas leaving Miami 16th Sept 2006.
This will be only our second cruise and we found the drinks expensive.
So we have purchased an alldrinks included package, has anyone ever had this and what can I expect??
Will there be cheap spirits or branded and can I expect soft drinks and sodas?
All replies welcome
Unless this is new, I have never heard of an "all drink package". How much was it? You might check with your TA, it could be a "soda card", around $7/day.
Wow how great you are doing a back to back. We should be so lucky!! We have entertained the idea many times. Two things other people have mentioned when doing b/b on the same ship made us reconsider...same shows, entertainment and same menus. They suggested changing ships, you might have to drive to a new port a few miles away which is something we hope to do one day. Just a suggestion, maybe no problem for you. Enjoy!!!

Why does everyone find the drinks on cruise ships to be so expensive. I kept hearing about the expensive drinks before we went on our 1st cruise, and when finally there, I thought the drinks were dirt cheap. Anything $5 and under is dirt cheap to me for a drink, but maybe that is just because I live in Los Angeles and drinks are way more expensive than that at your average bar here. I was just in Hawaii last month (not a cruise) and drinks by the pool (small watered down drinks) were $8.50. That I could see complaining about....But $5.00?
I really have never heard of that but how much does an all drinks included cost?
There was no such offering on our last Voyager Cruise. Does it include tips for the drink servers as well.

A few years back my wife and I were on the Sovereign of the Seas and there were some people on board that had a special seapass (or whatever they called it). Their liquor was included. I was going to inquire further but the guy passed out before i got a chance to ask him how it worked.
In reply to the points raised, It is an alcohol drinks package. It was arranged by our UK TA.
I have checked with RCCI UK who have confirmed it is available to us.
I have no idea of cost as it was sold as a package (air/Cruise)drinks)
I pick up the point about the back to back but at least the scenery will be changing
A friend of mine is in charge of vacation packages at the company he works for , every year they do something different. He told me that they organized a cruise with Royal Carribean had 100 people going and Royal Carribean allowed them a beverage package. For an additional $200 (i think it was a 9 night cruise) they had unlimited beverages (alcohol and soft drinks). The only stipulation was they had to have at least 30 people in their group and everyone had to take part in the package.
WOW, a drink paackage would be great it I could get it. We are goign a group of about 60 for a family wedding. Has anyone actually booked an all inclusive cruise and if so what are teh requirements. I would love to give everyone th egood news. Our bar tab is usually very high. Thanks in advance for the feedback.
