We always travel with it and it did pay off last year during Frances. Many things besides hurricanes can ruin a vacation can happen and it's just good to have. Insuremytrip.com can help with many choices. We always use CSA Travel and find them to be reasonable.

The lastest you can purchase travel insurance.....It all depends on which company you use that is why I suggested you check with Insuremytrip.com. CSA covers you from the day you purchase until the day you return. I always add a few days before and after just in case, no extra charge. Why wait? Just asking.

We use CSAA trip insurance.

If we buy it within 14 days of our cruise deposit...the insurance wil cover any pre-existing illnesses. But if we buy the trip insurance anytime later ....it will not cover pre-existing condition. We always buy it right away...just in case.

Of course trip insurance covers other things as well...and is well worth having.
