We are leaving out of Cape Liberty on Sept. 23rd and were wondering if it was a rule that you HAVE to take the shuttle to the ship. or can you walk? I have read in previous posts about dropping off passengers and luggage then parking, then taking a shuttle to the ship. If we do decide to walk from the drop off point, approximately how far is it from there to the ship?
Thanks for your help
When I cruised to Canada from Cape Liberty last September, I parked my car and hopped right onto a shuttle, which took me to the check-in building. I got off the parking lot shuttle, walked not even 50 feet to the luggage area, then right into check-in. From there you're assigned a ship shuttle number because you board the ship shuttle in numerical order.
ISince there is a lot of shuttle traffic, I'm not sure if you can walk from the check-in building to the ship, but even so its a pretty good walk.
After disembarking back at Cape Liberty, we took the shuttle from the ship to pick up our luggage. Then we walked from the luggage area to our car because the line for a parking lot shuttle was very long. We didn't think the walk was really that bad, but then again we were parked about 1/2 way in the big parking lot.
