Default NYC to Port Liberty

I we take the train from Boston to Grand Central or Penn Station, is it easy to grab a taxi to the terminal at Port Liberty. The reason I ask is that is some states cabs are not allowed to cross state lines without some kind of special livery permit.
Any estimate as to what such a cab ride would cost? Jimbo

In NY City I believe the taxi can take you anywhere, but, once outside NY City the meter goes off and the fare is what you agree with the driver (unless you agree to have the fare be the meter fare). You may be better off contacting a NY City based car service and arranging to be met at the station.

Car service will run $30 or $40 per hour plus tolls. NY cabs are quite expensive and they DO have to take you anywhere in the city, they do NOT have to take you if you are leaving the city. Do some exploring on the web and find out if there are buses from Port Authority terminal in Manhattan to Port Liberty.
