Spain Ports

I will be on the Splendor of the Seas on 11/12/05 for a 14 day Transatlantic sailing. We are stopping at Alicante and Malaga, Spain and Tenerife, Canary islands among a couple of other places I have been to before. Has anyone been to Alicante, Malaga and Tenerife? My main questions are do you dock at these places or are you tendered in and if you choose not to take an excursion are there places to walk to and things to do right by the ports or are you in the middle of nowhere when you get off the ship.
