TIME NEEDED FOR SAN DIEGO FLIGHT TO NEW YORK STATE
WHAT IS THE EARLIEST TIME I SHOULD BE LOOKING AT FOR OUR RETURN FLIGHT FROM SAN DIEGO TO ROCHESTER, NY AFTER OUR "ROCK THE LOCKS" GROUP CRUISE IN APRIL 2006? WE HAVE NEVER BEEN TO THE WEST COAST AND DON'T KNOW HOW MUCH TIME WE SHOULD ALLOW FROM DEBARKATION TO FLIGHT TIME. ANY ADVICE WOULD BE APPRECIATED.
Just curious, but why do you think it would be any different from any other cruise? My general rule of thumb is to not book a flight home before noon...that works anywhere in the world, even in Barcelona where I recently ended a cruise.
Like Robbie said, it's sooooo close! You can see it from the ship! But since you have never been to the West Coast, why not get off and stay for a day or two and enjoy SD?. Everything is so close and lots of fun.

what airlines are you looking at? We have a cruise from same port next year...--we are on LI & found a great diff in price between Jet Blue from JFK(no stops, large seats & mini TVs) plus a limo cost to get to the airport versus Southwest--cheaper but 1 stop (not a plane change) smaller seats no TV...but no limo--airport is a fewmiles from home. have not yet decided. We took SW a few weeks ago to Seattle with a plane change--luggage never even got loaded on first leg--it was a nightmare til middle of night when it arrived...Will try Jet Blue to Long Beach in the spring & then decide whihc we liked better for he dollar value! happy hunting & enjoy the cruise...
