Our last cruise was in March, and there were very few (could count them on one hand) guys in Speedos. Thank goodness. Unfortunately, most of the guys who wear them think they are still as thin as they were when they were teenagers, but in truth, most haven't seen their feet in years.
Speedo sightings?!?!?! Oh MY!! This is from the men's international belly flop competition on the Sovereign in May. I am the one in the yellow NOT the blue speedo but here you go if you want to see a speedo!
The crowd was stunned and he got the gold medal.

I've yet to see anyone look good in a speedo, no matter how great a bod you have, it's just not a good look. But if that's what you like to wear... go for it and don't worry about what others are wearing or what they think.
Never be afraid to try something new. Remember that a lone amateur built the Ark. A large group of professionals built the Titanic.

I'm interested to hear from recent travellers whether there's more men in speedos. I'm planning my trip for Christmas, and was hoping that speedos would be more popular this year!
I think that totally depends on the man now. Last yr. on disney Wonder we had an older man with a huge beer beely wearing swim trunks too small that would not stay up over the belly. H e had a good 6 inches of butt crack showing. I believe I would have preferred speedos on him.
I notice some say go for it but personally I say take a good look at yourself in the mirror. Speedos are not attractive on over weight middle aged men just like g- string bikinis are not a good look for any women over a size 6.
I don't mind if a person looks "hot" so much but I absloutely hate seeing someone make a fool of him or herself. Lets face it people -very few of us can pull off the look.
Now I am a woman well into middle age-but I would not have worn a string bikini in my 20's- back when I was a size 3/4 and 100 pounds. even though I was small back then, I still had figure flaws and because of my own self respect-there was no way I would have done that-but yet many a time I see women much older and much less attractive looking like fools. Ditto for men.
So as I repeat myself-take a long look in the mirror and then decide if you can get away with it.
I was on a Costa cruise which was probably 85% European passengers so nobody thought twice about what anyone was wearing on deck. I think Americans might "snicker" just because it is not common here.
I grew up going to Miami Beach where it is common to see men in speedos.
Of course there are both men and women that should not be wearing some of the swimsuits that they do, but to each their own.
I recently went to a male revue show in Orlando for a bachelorette party. There wasn't much of a difference between what the men in the show looked like and were wearing compared to this guy on my cruise. I didn't see any women laughing at the show or the cruise.
The only differences between the male revue show and the cruise:
1. The guy on the ship wasn't dancing.
2. I didn't put money in his speedo.
