I am organizing a family cruise to Bermuda aboard Empress of the Seas for July 2006. I have read mixed reviews of it on this site. One review said great and beautiful and one said the whole ship "smelled funny" even the rooms.
Anybody cruise Empress since the renovation? I'll take any opinions. I just don't want my whole family to be disappointed. Thanks!
Was on Empress this past September. The renovations were great and made it feal like a newer ship. I thought the food and service was excellent . The ship is definitly smaller which has it's pro's and cons.
The theatre has access from one deck only and if you wanted to see a show you had to get there early. If you like the vicking crown lounge-forget it. It is only open late night and doesn't have the view. I also miss being able to walk completely around the ship on the top deck. The cabin was the smallest I've ever been in but designed well with little places for everything. Had a great cruise but like the other classes of ships better. Randy
What date will you be on the Empress in July?
I'll probably be on it with my family the 15th, so let me know if you'll be with me. I am a 16 year old girl, traveling with my 24 year old brother and 2 parents.
on the empress on feb. 13, haven't been able to get much info on ship except rooms are small, we were on ncl balcony suite last year and it was ok but small, no room for suitcase, used them as a table I hope Empress isn't that small that the suitcases have to sit in the open
