Enchantment Questions??????

We are thinking of going on the Enchantment in October 2006. I have been on a 4 night and a 7 night cruise. We have a baby now (will be staying with my mom) but thought a 5 night would work great.

Do they serve lobster on the 5 night cruises on the Enchantment?
Do they still have a coke card of some type?
Does anyone have a list of the room numbers that are the additions to the old Enchantment?
Does anyone have menus for the 5 night to Jamaica and Caymen?
Is Chops really worth the extra $? $20 per person right?

Any information you can give would be wonderful.

We just got back in November from a 4 day on the Enchantment. Our first cruise was on the same ship a few years back, before the construction.

The ship is beautiful, the staff freiendly. However we chose the Enchantment again because we enjoyed Matt Baker as a cruise director. The new Director was very sociable and funny however there didn't seem to be as many pool side activities/games as before.

We didn't get lobster but the food was excellent.
They still offered the coke card.

We probly won't book on that cruise again, we will try another ship.

5. Chops was very nice, and if you want a departure from the regular dining room, give it a try. I had no complaints

No, they no longer have the drink cards, they used a few years ago, but not anymore. They still do have the "soda" cards though.

Here is deck 8. The purple ones are the new ones. If you look at the rest of the deck plans, they are in the same section going down. Yes, lobster on 5 night cruise. Menus? Who cares? It was all good.

PS the drink cards are no bargain anyway. They bank on the fact that most people will not use them all. It was not unlimited anyway. The soda card is a waste too in my opinion. The bartenders are annoyed with refilling tham anyway. By the time they fill that cup with ice, you are getting a few ounces of fountain soda anyway. Drink more beer instead!

We are in 8586 JS--I thought it was one of the new ones but it is not in purple---I hope it will be nice anyhow! first time for us in a JS...Does anyone know if they upgraded the decor in all cabins or just in the new ones???

Your cabin is bigger than the purple (new ones anyway) those are the same as all the ones on deck 7. The new ones are not any better.

Try the speedo trick, that is a crowd pleaser! No, email pics doesn't cost anything unless thay are on some site where you can buy prints. You need to post them here in the gallery and then you can insert them into posts. Some reason, you can't pull them from your computer anymore they have to be on the internet and have a URL.

Have you booked yet? Going the 22nd of May?! Is not that far off anymore. 8)

8) ,we are in the process of booking,I had a js with an inside across the hall on hold,but my wife started to balk,about the price 3 grand,for four,which isnt bad,so I ask my agent work me out a variety of options,etc...........those speedo guys,usually,will wear regular trunks over top,and then,drop trou,etc...we had a guy in his 60's do this on the liberty,during the hairy chest contest.

Yes, it is new. Not in the new part of the ship but new. A family inside stateroom. I did not get the chance to see it it but it looks pretty big. See the deck plan up above a little bit. All the way forward inside.

We had 2 insides adjoining on 3. We booked last minute and there were no other adjoining. The family stateroom came up after someone cancelled. I figured there shouldn't be too much motion because it's right next door to the Royal Suite. We had a balcony and loved it last cruise, but with the kids thought we better not. right? Should we go on a wait list for something better with adjoining rooms? Or should we just put the kids in the Club and get drunk?

I agree with all points. I would be afraid to have a balcony with the kids. Stick with that cabin, put the kids in Adventure Ocean which is directly above you and get drunk!

Dave the Wave - Is something like 7593 considered part of the "new" cabin additions or the old part?

7593 is an original cabin. 7581,7577 and 7573 are in the new part along with the ones even with them outside and portside. See in the deck plan here.

I had our TA change our room to a new one (7074) for the April 15th 5-day...is there a real difference? I guess the decor and appliances would have to be new but there is no difference in the size of the room is there?

Without a doubt, go to Chops.
I suggest instead of going to formal night in the regular dining room, get dressed to the nines and go to Chops instead.
