I have signed up for the Crown & Anchor Society since this will be our 2nd cruise with RCCL. Can anyone tell me if this membership is any help with the check-in process?
[/b]No, there are no perks for just 2 cruises, but once you have more, they have a priority check-in. Just be sure to fill out all your information on the Royal Caribbean site and that will speed up the check-in process. Have fun!
I've never been on RCCL but I am a member of the Captains Club with Celebrity. Does that count for anything and if it does how do I make them aware that I am a Captains Club member? Thanks.
With 2 cruises you at least get the crown and anchor magazine and it has coupons at the end that have $50.00 to $200.00 discounts per stateroom on future cruises.
I signed up hru travel agency. They didn't ask if I was crown and anchor???? Woner if RRCl will catch that by our name or if I should call them direct?
On our second cruise with RCI we got coupon books and belly bags (fanny packs?) On our third we got the coupon books and a nice shoulder tote, that I use for my workout shoes, etc. On our second Celebrity cruise we got two useless coupons and some candy--not good for us diabetics. BUT Celebrity gives each passenger, CC or not, a nice cloth shopping bag with logo.
We are doing our 4th RCI cruise this summer, which is a 12-day and should be good for double credit. We should be able to combine our previous 3 RCI cruises with the 2 Celebrity cruises, including the 12-day cruise/tour to Alaska. I forgot to ask TA about that. Gotta do that soon.
Hoping to do an 11-day Med cruise on Galaxy in '07.
1/12/02 Explorer E. Carib.
1/18/03 Explorer W. Carib.
8/3/03 Summit Alaska cruise/tour
2/8/04 Adventure S. Carib.
2/3/05 Galaxy Panama Canal
6/19/06 Jewel Brit. Isles/Nor. Fjords

As far as I know, you can't combine the cruises from both cruise lines to up your total.
You can, however, get equivalent status on one line due to your status on the other. Example: we are Diamond level on RCI, and because of that, we are Elite level on Celebrity, although we will be taking our first Celebrity cruise next month. After we complete the Celebrity cruise, we will have one cruise credit. We can't transfer this credit to RCI. They are mutually exclusive.
You cannot combine the number of cruises from both lines (sniff).
Also, I believe you must be at least platinum (or the Celebrity equivalent) to have reciprocal privileges - one cruise on either doesn't give you anything on the other.

A slight correction - - since we will be in a Concierge Class cabin, we will get two cruise credits.
Also, got our Celebrity documents today, and we are, in fact, listed as Elite. Can't wait to see what the perks are. One thing I do know, is that Celebrity doesn't have the Concierge Lounge that RCI has, meaning no free drinks......
You can get priority boarding if you are in a GS or above. All passengers
in GS and above may board priority regardless of C & A status...at least this has been our experience prior to reaching higher than gold level of C & A.
