Default Getting on board early

Hi everyone,

What's the real time you can board ship. We are on Voyager and have been given a 2PM board time. Last time we sailed I thought we were able to board by noon.

Thanks

J

They usually begin check in around 11 am and boarding around noon. We've are usually eating lunch by 12:30 pm...BUT this is only if they are successful in debarking all the previous passengers and immigration didn't hold anyone up.

J,
Boarding starts as early as 11:30, if the common areas are cleaned and ready. You may not be able to access your cabin until 1, so keep that in mind re: lugging carry-ons around. Windjammer will be open, as well as some of the bars.

What port will you be sailing from? I recently told by a shuttle company that they cannot even enter the property at Pt. Canaveral until 11 a.m. My group was hoping to arrive at the port around 10:30, but the shuttle will not drop us then.

MaryLou,
That is true for lots of ports so many people use taxis. Our Port Canaveral experience: we returned our car at Budget around 9:30am and the driver asked us if we wanted to go with him since he had a pickup a the port. We said yes, he waited while we finished our paperwork and off we went. We arrived by 10am. This was over a year ago when we cruised on the Mariner so things might have changed.

Teresa: Thanks for the info. I, too, normally take a taxi and go over early. But, this one is my family reunion cruise and there are 29 of us who need transporation. The shuttle was the most inexpensive way to go. I guess we need to make some concessions.

Mary Lou: What shuttle service are you using? There are so many on the Cape Canaveral web site not sure were to begin. We are renting a car on the way in but just want to take a shuttle back to the airport coming home. There are going to be 4 of us so I didn't think we could all get into one taxi.

cdbaby: email me at marylou@cruisemates.com and I will give you the name and number of the shuttle company we are using. It is very reasonably priced.
