Default Monarch of the Seas and teenagers and other misc. questions

Is there a lot of activities for teenagers on a 4 day cruise of the MOS? This is the first cruise for our family and I want to just do a 4 night trial. I think my teens would enjoy some organized teen activities. Do they offer these events and if so are they usually well attended? I know that the MOS is smaller than a lot of the RC ships, does that mean there are less activities? Does a smaller ship have some advantages as well?

MOS is a great little ship...it is hopping too!

We went on MOS for the first time in Sept. 05...we enjoyed ourselves so much we immediately booked her again.

We saw lots of young people, but since a 4 day cruise is really Port intensive I wouldn't worry about keeping your teens busy...everyday is a new port and different view...no one gets bored!

MOS does have a lots going on for such a little ship. The teens we saw looked happy...

Enjoy!!

I agree...the Monarch is a great little ship.
My wife and I have sailed on her twice in the last 2 years and we are planning our next cruise on the Monarch with our 3 kids in May 2007.
We will have an 18 year old, 16 year old and a 11 year old....(should be interesting).
We also saw a lot of kids and teenagers on both cruises(4 days) and with a new port at every stop, they were busy. At night they have their own "Teen Club" at the stern of the ship and when we have walked that way in the evening, it was a busy place.

Good luck and have a great trip,

GV

kirbmeister,

We are going on the 3-day May 25-28...
We want them to get a "taste" of cruising, without going broke...

Thanks,
GV

Going on the MOS you will be spoiled by the staff and crew...

It is a great way to start the cruising experience! ()

BTW: Be sure to check into some of the quick port tours...there are a couple that our cheap and fun!
