We are sailing on the NOS this summer, wondering if anyone has any photos of formal nights. What to wear? Do folks get very formal, such as long gowns, tuxes Etc.? Thanks for any help!
Newbie: Welcome to Cruisemates...we are glad you found us.
While I do not have pictures from Navigator formal nights, I can tell you that you will see men in tuxes and dark suits; women in long gowns, cocktail dresses and even dressy pants. My hubby always wears his tux..it is kind of fun to dress up.

Sailed NOS last June. On Formal nights you saw everything. Some were in tuxes, others didn't even wear a tie. I was one that didn't wear a tie and I still fit in just fine. I wouldn't bother bringing a tux.
I would say it's personal choice but don't feel as if you have to go black tie for the formal nights. I myself usually bring a nice suit for one formal night and then a jacket/tie if there's a second formal night. Be comfortable, that's the most important thing as well as having a great time.
