Default Ship's public Computers & USB Thumbdrive

The current flash card in my digital camera will allow me to take up to about 125 photos. Being one of those annoying travelers who is always taking pictures, I may fill that up on the first two days. I could bring a laptop and dump the pictures each night, but I’d hate to drag an extra bag just for that. Will the computers available on the ship (Serenade of the Seas) allow you to download your photos? If so, maybe I can then transfer them to a thumb drive. If not I guess its time to buy another flash card.

I would recommend buying another flash card. While I am not positive, I cannot imagine that they would allow someone to download pictures into their computer system in this day and age. The potential for someone to download a computer virus or worm into their network could put them out of business for a while.

I know you can print pictures in the photo area of ships... and maybe have em burned to CD..... which would be another possibility. But i still recommend getting an extra card or two BEFORE getting on board... cause you will pay double once on the ship.

Default Thanks

That's pretty much what I thought. I checked the prices on additional cards and they have gone way down in price since I bought my 128 mb card. I can now get a 512 card for about the same price. I like the idea of having the ship's photo lab put them on disk. I'm not sure why I didn't think of that in the first place. I think I'll buy a new card, but knowing me I still might have to put some on a disk. Thanks!

You can have them put on CD , no problem at the photo gallery onboard.

I would recommend either getting a larger media card or as suggested, having the ship's photo lab place the pictures on CD. The PC's on RCCL's ships are not accessible for users to download files from their personal media.
