Default Enterprise Rental Car San Pedro Question

I wondered if anyone has done this.. there will be 4 of us going on the Monarch in May. We are flying to LAX the day ahead and leaving from their the day after the cruise gets back. The blue shuttle from the airport would cost us $55 each way. I thought of renting from Enterprise since there is a rental place for easy return from LAX to San Pedro for a day then pick one up when we arrive back at port for a day. I have heard conflicting information on one way rental return fees. Has anyone done this? If there are no return fees....even on one end... this would be cheeper then the blue shuttle and we can drive around and sight see.

One word of caution on the Enterprise San Pedro location.

I had booked a car there online for post cruise specifically for this reason.
Ship arrived Saturday morning, and I called for them to pick us up - only to get a taped message that this location is not open Saturdays!

Surprised their online system allowed me to reserve a car in a closed location.

We just returned today, Saturday, off the Sapphire and saw a few Enterprise shuttles delivering and picking people up. But I have heard they were closed on Sundays...
