Default Monarch 3 day Late Dining question?????

We plan on doing the late seating for a few reasons.....a) you have more time after day in Ensenada to get ready b) there are fewer kids as they tend to be at 1st seating (so I hear) c) a more leisurely pace.
But I have ANOTHER question about this......I would love to have a table with an ocean view and I'm sure I can tip the Maitre'd for this but is it worth it if we have late seating and there is no sun???? Should I just be happy to be closest to the chocolate bar as to the window as the sun is down? Or is this also the same table we will be at for breakfast and lunch and therefore I need the BEST table??? HMMMM...Now I have to be CUNNING! Please help me so my Mom gets the best table I can get her.....I'm williing to tip!!! After all, I'm from Vegas

A lot of times when we've had a window table, they closed the curtains anyway, so it didn't really make a difference. Although, just last month on Mariner, we had a window table and they did not close the curtains. It was too dark to see much of anything though.

You will not have the same table for breakfast and lunch. They offer open seating for these meals; you can eat in the Windjammer or dining room. The dining room they seat you as you arrive with others. I enjoyed a dining room window table for these meals when the sun is shining and you can actually see out.

BTW...Chocolate bar??? I was on the Monarch last July, did I miss something?

I just got back from the Monarch (4 day) and they did the Chocolate Buffet. They do it in the main lobby on deck four. On our cruise they did it the night we left Catalina Island.
