We just returned from our cruise on the Explorer on March 12th. IS it too late for me to try and buy the pictures from the second formal dinner night?? I was speaking with our friend and she said our pictures came out great (the first formal night our pix came out like crap because H was up puking all night - too many martinis).
So, has anyone ever tried (and been successful) to get the photos after the trip was over??
IF you could, how are you going to tell the photo staff which ones are yours?
SS Norway (12 times) '85 - '97; Radiance OS 06/01; Island Princess 11/04, Grand Princess 11/04/05, Golden Princess 7/21/06, Golden Princess 2/24/07, Explorer of the Seas 12/23/07, Island Princess 11/15/08
if you tell them your name and cabin number and your S&S number they could retrieve your face from their computer security data base (when you reboard a ship following a shore excursion) and then it would be like looking for a needle in a haystack
just go down to your local travel agency and put back on your formal duds and have a picture taken in front of one of the cruise ship displays 9VBG)
Not sure if this was done on Explorer .. but it was being done on Mariner the week on March 12.
When formal pictures are being taken... your sea pass card is swiped and your picture is linked to your stateroom number. When prints were posted... they were grouped by stateroom number (9100-9500, etc.)
So if yours were done in a similar method, it is concievable that you could still purchase prints after the cruise. Try going to the website of the company that runs the photo center.... www.image.com or call them at 1-800-772-3470.
Well, I thought that MAYBE they might have an online catalog sorted by date and cruise trip, you know? Then it would be easy to pick ours out and just purchase it on line. But now, there was no swiping of our seapass card when the photos were taken. I will give it a shot and call them anyway though - thanks for the info wiscguy!
