Default yet ANOTHER dress question

OK, here it goes
Formal nights= tux or suit
casual night= khakis, polo

correct?

After dinner on casual nights what do most people wear? If it's 80 out and you are lounging on deck, do you keep the khakis on? Do people really stay dressed up to go to the casino? Isn't that kind of like putting a BMW hood ornament on a KIA? What if you are hanging out at the poolside bar? Still khakis? Not asking what the rules "suggest" but rather what most people do. I'm a conformist but also like to to be comfortable.

The cruiseline suggests on formal nights that you stay in formal wear throughout the evening, but I've seen many folks change into casual clothing after dinner. You will see plenty of folks in shorts after dinner if they are hanging out by the pool, etc.

A majority of people will change out of formal clothes after dinner and seeing the show. I always do... I like the dress up dinner... but when I am going to the casino...or one of the clubs on board... its time to be casual and comfortable

Do what ever makes you most comfortable! On casual nights, the ladies in our group wore capris and the guys wore docker style pants with a polo shirt. On those nights, most of us stayed in our "dinner" clothes, as they were very comfortable. On formal nights, we all changed before the show and casino, etc. You will see both shorts and formal wear on formal night--everywhere you go. Remember, if you have early seating for dinner, when going to dinner you will see people who have late seating in their bathing suits coming back from the pool.
Have a great time!!!

we book late seating dinner and if we are planning on going to a show we go straight from dinner so we are in our dinner clothes. If we are just going to hang-out then we would probably change out of our formal wear. If we are attending a special function on formal night then we definatley will stay dressed.
