Default Been to the Bahamas in October?????

We are planning on a 3 night cruise to the Bahamas in mid October. Has anyone been there during this time that can help answer a couple of questions?

What are the waters like? Is it rough sailing? Also, what is a must do with an 8 and 11 year old?

Did you go on the Sovereign? Any comments very much appreciated.

Thanks!! Michell

It is pretty much the same all year 'round. The water is smooth, and nort warm like in the deep Caribbean, but still swimmable. Take your Kids to Atlantis and let them see the aquariums. They will love it.

Thanks Paul! Do you know if there is decent snorkeling off the beach either in Nassau or Cococay or should we do an excursion.

Yes, except when a hurricane comes through....

if conditions are right snorkeling at Coco Cay is great--wrecks to explore, protected area--just beautiful, lots of fish--ther nice things to do on land & I haveheard there's even more than in the past. Other Snorkeling in Bahamas can be rough--we did a trip off a boat & found it a bit tough going---
