Are you speaking of Project Genesis?

I heard of the bungee jump thing, but not the rollercoaster. May I ask where you got the information? I am not trying to question you, but I am also really interested in Project Genesis

I CAN'T WAIT for the Project Genesis ship to come out. I hope to do the inaugural sailing on it, whenever that is.

Genesis isn't supposed to be out til 2009 I thought though?

Somebody is confused, but I can't say whether it's you or the captain. In any case, ship entering service in 2008 will be the third ship of the Freedom of the Seas class. The first "Project Genesis" vessel (220,000 tons, 5400 passengers) will enter service in the fall of 2009. I am not aware of the line naming either of these vessels as yet.

The official press release on the first "Project Genesis" vessel (http://www.rclinvestor.com/phoenix.z...774&highlight=) is available on the parent company's web site.

Norm.

Can you just imagine any port with one or two of these vessels parking and disenbarking passengers for tours, etc. 5,000+ passengers from each ship...all waiting for immigration, buses, taxis. Trying to find their various tour operators...WOW...what an impact on the local facilities, etc.

Parking????

Mooring or anchoring, maybe, but you do NOT "park" a ship!

The more interesting scenario is three of these vessels mooring in some Caribbean island and unleashing 3x5400=16200 passengers on tours, etc. To put it into perspective, that's the equivalent of EIGHT vessels of sister line Celebrity's largest vessels, the Millennium class!

And by 2020, barely a decade after their launch, we'll regard the "Project Genesis" vessels as mid-sized....
