Have only done it once and it was almost seamless. So relaxing to sit and watch all the hustle and bustle as you sip your favorite beverage with your feet propped up. BUT you will still need to "check-in" for the second leg of the voyage. They escorted us off the ship to do this and put us in line with everyone else. Didn't take very long but seemed like something they could have done onboard. I'd do it again in a heartbeat though!

I've done back to backs on the same ship, and have also done back to backs changing ships at the end of week 1.

We much preferred actually going through the hassle of packing and changing ships. Staying on the same ship entertainment and menus stay exactly the same. We found it more exciting to change lines and get a taste of each.

We're doing in again in Dec/Jan. Celebrity the first week, Carnival for the second week.

hi, is cruising back to back cheaper? like say I want to do a 7-night. Is it cheaper to choose a 4 night and then a 3 night cruise b2b? Or is that more money?

it wasn't any cheaper for me. i do have an onboard credit for the first leg because we booked a cruise while on a cruise but then i changed it to 2 cruises. i think they give you a deal on air fare though. when i called to have air added, they said the fare was cheaper because i had back to back cruises but they didn't have a return flight for me.
