You are obviously a wise man too, venice. Courtesy to your grandfather.

First of all I am NOT middle age! I am only 42. Secondly, you are right about everything else.

I have seen a lot in my time also. Working around hotels for years as a pool boy and in night clubs taught me a few things. I have already been married and had kids so I don't need to do that again.

I am just having a lot of fun right now. When I do get to middle age maybe I'll settle down again. Maybe....

Dave the Wave...I did not say YOU were middle age, re-read my post I said "If You" (meaning the generic anyone)

From your reaction I must have hit a nerve iniside you that was a flash back when one of those 20 year old Victoria Secret Models that you met on your last cruise indicated you were the same age as her father (smile)

among the many other pieces of wisdom my grandfather shared with me was" never be with a woman unless she has more to lose then you do"

in today's culture...60 is the beginning of middle age, when you are in your 40's you are still a "pup" ... feel better DTW !! (smile)

Ok, now I feel better. I think I will go down to the local beach bar, listen to the band and dance with the hot tourist girls.

Dave The Wave...fyi..you might pick a different song for your kareoke duet....I'm older then you are and I don't even know the words to the Meatloaf song

a sure fire winner is the song "Satisfaction" by the Rolling Stones..all of the girls, regardless of their age know that song

DTW...what's your problem??? (smile)..you ask for a woman that knows the words and Zotzer recites them and you leave her hanging ???? (smile)

Women like Zozter only come along online once in a lifetime, so don't oversleep !!! (smile)

Zozter..... do you know the words to "Cruising" by Smokey Robinson ?

I couldn't take it any longer! wow!! I was crazed and then the feeling came upon me like a tidal wave, I started swearing to my GOD and on my mothers grave that I would love you til the end of time... I SWORE I would love you til the end of time! ........So NOW I'm prayin' for the end of time to hurry up and arrive, cuz if I gotta spend another minute with you.... I don't think that I could really survive.... I'll never break my promise or forget my vow but GOD only knows what I could do right now... I'm prayin' for the end of time... it's all that I can do... I'm prayin' for the end of time...so I can end my time with YOU!

...it was long ago and it was far away but it was so much better than it was today ... it was long ago and it was far away but it was so much better than it was today ....... it was long ago and it was far away but it was so much better than it was today .....it was long ago and it was far away but it was so much better than it was today

No, Thank YOu! That is truly one of the most beautiful love songs ever written. It brings tears to my eyes every time I hear it. It goes all the way from young love and can't live without you to can't live with you!

Zotzer..after you finish your duet with DTW ..can we do a duet together featuring my all time favorite blue eye soul duet..the Righteous Brothers or Halls and Oates ?...and if you are really into it..any 60's early 70's song by Marvin Gaye (sorry DTW - just had to ask !!!)...(smile)

Dave the Wave does make a valid point about the "baby boomer " generation !!!! When we were growing up we thought 40+ was old, untill of course we turned that age and we just don't consider ourselves 'Old" (r as DTW likes to say middle age)..Some of us get angry that AARP, lowered the membership to 50 (part of a marketing campaign to capture the baby boomer generation big, big $$$$$$$) while others embrace it as a source of pride (and being able to save cash at the movies)

we are also the generation of multiple divorces, ******, cosmetic surgery to "add stuff" or ease the aging process and we find ourselves validating that "we still have it" in the dating world by seeking younger and desirable members of the opposite sex

In the end, we come to the conclusion to be happy who we are in that stage of our life and try to find someone of like age and background that will just accept and not try to change..

in other words we are looking for our willing counterpart that knows all the words to our favorite kareoke song, and will go on stage at the Starlight lounge and sing a duet, and has all of her/his) original body parts and her/his own money and the only "crack" you'll see with her/him, is the light underneath your balcony cabin door on the Majesty of the Seas !!

Momofmeg...you and I are about the same age and I bet we can both keep up with that youngster Dave The Wave

Dave The Wave..piece of cake..we can team up on kareoke night and do our interpretation of Paul McCarthy and Michael Jackson's big hit "Black or White " (smile)..with the clear understanding that you be Michael and I be Paul !! (VBG)..we would not want to confuse the 20 year old Victoria Secret models that will be onboard !!! (remember Michael is younger then Paul)

I have met Michael Jackson back when he still looked normal around 1982. I was working in a nightclub in Orlando, Church Street Station. Very cool place with Rosie O'Grady's Apple Annies and Phinneas Phoggs. As a bouncer there, we had to escort him around and hang out with him for the night. This was around the time Thriller was big. He doesn't look quite the same anymore.

He taught me how to do the Moonwalk....
