Default beach in Labadee, Haiti

I read that the beach in Labadee, Haiti is exclusive for RCCL. Is it set up like Disney's Castaway Cay where there are free chairs and shades and you are free to swim? Does the cruise line serve free snacks in the island also?

It is a similar concept. There are lounges, hammocks, water sports activities, a buffet lunch is served, waiters are carrying around trays of drinks, it is very beautiful.

Castaway cay is in the Bahamas like Cococay. In Labadee it is mountainous and not an island but a fenced off peninsula. Unlike Castaway Cay, you will be tendered in.

They also serve a nice BBQ lunch in a few different areas, so be sure to find the covered area and have some lunch. They also offer some excursions there too, we did the waverunner excursion and loved it, they have banana boats going all day..

Its a great beach day!

You will like Labadee... have been there twice and each time it was the best port on the cruise. Just a very relaxing day.

I have pictures still from my Honeymoon on Song of America in 1990. That was our favorite day. I have a picture of me drinking the milk out of a fresh coconut. The waiters would cut them open for you and pour some rum in them.

Default labadee

I've been to both Castaway Cay & Labadee - Labadee is far superior - the mountainous landscape is beautiful - there are many differant parts of the island - explore before you decide where to settle. It was difficult to find the childrens program & they closed earlier than we anticipated so we couldn't go do some of the activites we would have liked. All in all it was a gr8 experience & when we go there in April we will have a better understanding of the scheduling.
